ARTIST COMMISSION AGREEMENT
This Artist Commission Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Hellhound Portrait artist Shayla Tansey (“Artist”) and the undersigned client (“Client”). By commissioning a Hellhound Portrait, Client agrees to the following terms:
1. Scope of Work
Artist will create a custom digital Hellhound portrait based on Client’s submitted reference photo(s), selected colors, and optional requested features. The artwork is hand‑drawn using Procreate. No physical prints are included.
2. Reference Materials
Client agrees to provide:
clear, well‑lit reference photo(s) of their pet
accurate customization details selected (primary and secondary colors)
Artist may request additional photos if the originals are insufficient. Artist is not responsible for quality issues caused by poor reference images.
3. Artistic Style & Creative Freedom
Client acknowledges they are commissioning Artist for their distinct Hellhound aesthetic. Artist retains full creative discretion regarding composition, lighting, mood, and stylistic interpretation. Minor adjustments may be requested; major redesigns may incur additional fees.
4. Revisions
One round of minor revisions is included. Additional revisions or major changes (pose, features, etc.) may require additional payment.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full at the time of ordering unless otherwise agreed. All payments are non‑refundable once work has begun, due to the custom nature of the artwork.
6. Turnaround Time
Estimated delivery time is 3-4 weeks per portrait. Delays caused by Client (missing photos, unclear instructions) may extend the timeline. Rush orders may incur additional fees.
7. Delivery of Artwork
Final artwork is delivered as a high‑resolution digital file (PNG). Client is responsible for downloading and storing the file. Artist is not responsible for printing services.
8. Copyright & Usage Rights
Artist retains full copyright and ownership of the artwork.
Client receives a personal‑use license, allowing:
Client may not:
sell, reproduce, or distribute the artwork
use the artwork commercially
create merchandise
alter the artwork
use the artwork to train AI models or generate derivative AI images
9. Artist Portfolio Rights
Artist may display the artwork in portfolios, social media, marketing materials, and promotional content. If Client requires privacy (e.g., surprise gift), they must notify Artist in writing.
10. Client Representations
Client affirms they own or have rights to use the submitted reference photo(s). Client agrees to indemnify Artist against claims arising from unauthorized photo use.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate before work begins for a full refund. Once work has started, payments are non‑refundable.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada.
By commissioning a Hellhound Portrait from artist Shayla Tansey, Client acknowledges and agrees to all terms above.
